tying it all together
You may not realize it, but the
people you surround yourself around have a pretty big impact on your life. You
want to surround yourself with people who are positive. The people who are
positive in your life are going to motivate you and keep you happy. “It’s so
important to find people that love and support you unconditionally,” (Zamora,
It’s Really Not You, It’s them). This article gives you the idea that the
people who are positive in your life will make you a more happier and
successful person. “When you surround yourself with passionate, positive and
inspired individuals, there is nowhere to go but up,” (Zamora, It’s Really Not
You, It’s Them). Think about who are the people that make your life positive
and keep those people close. I have multiple friends, but I only consider a
number of them my best friends. These are the people that I can call my family
because of how close I have gotten to be with them over the past years. Every
single one of them has made an impact on my life. They are the most positive
people I know because they motivate me to do my best, and they do whatever they
can to make me smile whenever I am having a bad day. It is people like them
that make me the person who I am today. “I choose to be grateful for whatever I
have,” (Gluskin, Are Positive People Annoying?). Sure you might be annoyed by
your friends all the time, but you should be grateful because they make your
life better. This article shows that it is better to have positive friends who
are annoying than negative friends. Be grateful that you have people that care
about you. Accept the fact that your friends are annoying because it is best
for you. “Save your energy for what you have control over,” (Gluskin, Are
Positive People Annoying?). Live your life to the fullest and enjoy every
single moment with the people who make your life more positive. Some of my
friends annoy me, and sometimes I let it get to me. I’ll tell them to leave me
alone, or to stop being so annoying. I still do this to this day, but most of
the time I accept it because I’d rather be surrounded by them than people who
are negative all the time. I try to keep those negative people out of my life
because I know they are only going to make me a negative person, and I don’t
want that to happen to me. I am most know as being a happy person who smiles
all the time, and when I am not smiling, my friends know that something’s wrong
because it is not normal for me not to smile.
Many people don’t realize that I wasn’t the same person I was five or six years ago. I live in a pretty bad neighborhood surrounded by gangs and drug dealers. My elementary school wasn’t the best either. I was friends with a lot of people; however, some of those people have not made the best decisions in their lives. My close friend at the time only lived a couple of houses away from me. We hung out every day after school. I thought we were going to go to the same high school together and basically become best friends. Little did I know that my mom would end up transferring me from my elementary school to a charter school. I haven’t seen my friend since I transferred. A couple of years later, I found him on Facebook. I messaged him, and I asked him how things have been. What he told me surprised me. He said that he had been to a juvenile detention center a couple of times and could possibly go to jail. If I didn’t transfer schools, I could’ve possibly ended up in the same position that he was. I haven’t talked to him in a while, so I really don’t know what he has been up to, but from the statuses that he has posted, it seems that he’s trying his best to provide for his mom. If I were to stay in the same elementary school and go to my neighborhood high school, I wouldn’t have nearly as good as an education that I have now. Today, I am surrounded by people who care about me and want me to succeed in the future. My best friend, my brothers, my Muchin family, and my family all support me and want me to have a good future. If it wasn’t for their positivity, I don’t think I would be the person I am today. It is best to just replace the negativity with positive vibes. You don’t want to always be around people who are negative because they will only bring you down, and they will make you a negative person as well. “By replacing the negative with a positive, it stops you from feeling unhappy,” (Taking Responsibility for Your Actions). Try to replace all the negative things affecting your life and replace them with positive things. It’ll only make you a happier person. “Change the negative thought into a positive one,” (Eliminate Negative thinking). Try to look at the positive side to something. Don’t just look at the negative side.
My friends and my family are the people that I have spent most of my time with. My family has been supportive since day one. They always want me to do my best whether that is in school or when I am playing baseball. They always support my decision. My friends on the other hand motivate me to do better than them. Most of them get better grades than I do, but I see that as a positive thing because it only makes me want to do better than them. I see it as a friendly competition. In return of everyone being supportive of me, I do the same as well. I push my friends to be the best that they can be. I make them smile whenever they are down, and this is the person I have become to be. It is hard to do this whenever I am not having a good day, but I try my best to stay positive. Positive vibes will make this world a better place; however, negativity is not always a bad thing.
